If all you have is a phone and some free time, you can still earn online in Nigeria. This guide is for someone starting from zero.

Step 1: Get your phone ready

You need:

  • a smartphone with enough space for a few apps
  • mobile data or Wi-Fi
  • a screenshot shortcut you know how to use (most phones: power and volume down together)

Step 2: Set up your accounts properly

Many tasks are done on social media, so you need your own accounts on the apps people use most in Nigeria: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, WhatsApp and Telegram.

Use real accounts with a profile picture and a real name. Businesses pay for real people, and empty accounts are often rejected.

Step 3: Use your real name, and a bank account in that name

When you sign up on a task platform, use the exact name on your bank account. Withdrawals go only to an account in your own name. This protects you from your money going to the wrong person.

Step 4: Pick a platform that pays

Choose one that is free to join, tells you the minimum withdrawal up front, and has a real support system. Our guide on legit task apps in Nigeria shows how to check.

On FiniTasks you sign up free, pick tasks from a list, and withdraw to your bank account once your balance reaches ₦1,000.00.

Step 5: Do your first tasks carefully

Read each task fully before you start. It tells you:

  • what to do (for example, follow this page)
  • what your screenshot must show (for example, the page with "Following" on it)

Most rejections happen because the screenshot does not show the task done. Read how to take a proof screenshot that gets approved once, and you will avoid most of them.

Step 6: Get paid

Approved work goes into your balance. When it reaches the minimum, ask for a withdrawal. Read how to withdraw your FiniTasks earnings for the details.

What to expect in your first weeks

  • Small amounts at first. This is extra income, built a task at a time.
  • Busy and quiet hours. Tasks come from businesses, so some times of day have more than others. Turning on notifications helps you see new ones.
  • Some rejections. Read the reason, fix it next time, and appeal if you think it was wrong.

Stay safe

  • Never pay to start or to unlock a withdrawal.
  • Never share your bank PIN, password or one-time code.
  • Do not use someone else's accounts or screenshots. It gets accounts suspended.
