You have done the tasks, your work was approved, and your balance has grown. Now you want the money in your bank account. Here is how a withdrawal works, and how to avoid the one problem that holds up most of them.
Pending and available
When you submit a task, the amount you will earn is pending while the work is being reviewed. When the work is approved, it moves to your available balance. Only your available balance can be withdrawn.
You can see both on your wallet page.
The minimum withdrawal
There is a minimum amount you need before you can withdraw. At the time of writing it is ₦1,000.00. Your wallet page always shows the current minimum, and how much more you need if you are short of it. The minimum exists because very small transfers are not worth the cost of sending them.
Step 1: Add your bank account, in your own name
Add a bank account on your bank page. Use an account in your own name.
This is the rule that matters most: the name on the bank account must match the name on your FiniTasks account. If you registered as "Amina Bello" and your account name is "Bello Amina", that is usually fine. If your account is in somebody else's name, such as a parent, a friend or a business, the withdrawal cannot be paid to it.
When you add the account, FiniTasks checks the account name with the bank and compares it with yours. You will see whether it matched.
Step 2: Request the withdrawal
On your wallet page, choose the amount and request the withdrawal. The amount is taken out of your available balance while the request is being processed, so you cannot spend it twice.
Step 3: Wait for it to be paid
Withdrawals are processed by FiniTasks and sent to your bank by transfer. It is not instant, so allow some time. You are notified by email when the money has been sent, with a reference you can quote to your bank. If something prevents it, you are told that too, with the reason.
Why a withdrawal is sent back
The money is returned to your available balance, so nothing is lost, and you can fix the problem and try again. The usual reasons:
- The bank account name does not match your FiniTasks name. This is by far the most common. Add an account in your own name and request again
- The account details were typed wrongly. Check the number and the bank
- Your account is under review for a reason such as repeated rejected proofs. In that case, open a support ticket and we will explain
Common questions
Can I withdraw to someone else's account? No. Withdrawals go to an account in your own name.
Can I change my bank account? Yes, add a new one. If you change it, make sure the new account is also in your name.
Do I need to withdraw everything? No. You can leave money in your balance and withdraw later, as long as you meet the minimum each time.
What if I wait and nothing arrives? Check your email for a notice. If there is none, open a ticket from the support page with the amount and the date you requested it, and we will check.
Tips
- Add your bank account before you reach the minimum, so you can withdraw the moment you can
- Keep your name consistent: the same spelling on FiniTasks and at the bank
- Never share your bank PIN, password or OTP with anyone. FiniTasks will never ask for them
